Hacker Halted Asia Pacific 2009

In today’s business environment, more and more business aspects like data, assets, client’s information & employees’ information are accessible online. Businesses continue to place a greater emphasis on websites and online offerings to their clients and neglect information security. This provides hackers with the exhilaration of hacking into an organization’s network; be it done for fame or fortune. Their aim, as everyone agrees, is to steal information for fraudulent use. Their methods and modus operandi are becoming extremely sophisticated and fuelled by the proliferation of new tools, technologies and techniques that are available and being employed almost everyday. As such, businesses cannot merely rely on the use of traditional aspects of security – firewalls intrusion detection systems and virus scans because they are no longer enough to protect an organization from threats and breaches.

Hacker Halted Asia Pacific 2009 will expose latest flaws in information security that affects the global community. Discussions and presentations will revolve around some of the most malicious attacks and potential threats surrounding the security field.
